Your Wish is GrantED: Two Skill-Building Events in 2023 for Grant Writers

GrantED 101 - New Grant Writers' Seminar

Grant writers routinely wish for similar things. Some wish for clarity about expectations. Others wish for tips and techniques to create a comprehensive yet streamlined response. Even more individuals wish to understand how to avoid common errors. National Safe Place Network (NSPN) is here to help grant your wishes with two training opportunities in early 2023. The GrantED 101 – New Grant Writers’ Seminar and the 2023 Grant Writers’ Skill-Building Retreat will offer the support and tools needed for new and seasoned grant writers alike.

GrantED 101 - New Grant Writers' Seminar

One of the organizational positions with the highest level of stress and pressure is the grant writer. Whether you are leading a team or developing each proposal on your own, the time and effort commitments are significant. What better way to hone your talents than to deliberately focus on skill-building, engaging with colleagues, and practicing some self-care in a retreat setting prior to the onset of the 2023 grant season?

Grant writers routinely wish for similar things. Some wish for clarity about expectations. Others wish for tips and techniques to create comprehensive yet streamlined response. Even more, individuals wish to understand how to avoid common errors. National Safe Place Network (NSPN) is helping you reach your grant goals with the 2023 Grant Writers' Skill-Building Retreat. This retreat is about granting wishes and helping participants engage in important conversations about what is needed to enhance opportunities for success.

While the retreat will also emphasize ways to manage the pressure and stress which comes with the job, the focus will be on skill-building and each participant will be asked to actively participate in the learning process.

Retreat Topics

  • Chasing support for identified needs – not the money
  • Assessing the return on investment and capacity to sustain funded service
  • Examining capacity to meet expectations beyond the award letter

  • Embracing the useful redundancy of federal proposals
  • Avoiding common errors
  • Participants’ choice

There will also be an opportunity to share writing samples for specific feedback and consultation.
