Transitional Living Program Funding Opportunity Announcement Available

National Safe Place Network (NSPN) is pleased to share the release of the 2022 Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Transitional Living Program (TLP) funding opportunity announcement (FOA). All applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 21, 2022. This funding opportunity is for a 36-month project period with three 12-month budget cycles.

The TLP provides safe, stable, and appropriate shelter for runaway and homeless youth ages 16 to under 22 for up to 18 months and, under extenuating circumstances, can be extended to 21 months. TLPs provide comprehensive services that supports the transition of homeless youth to self-sufficiency and stable, independent living. Through the provision of shelter and an array of comprehensive services, TLP youth will realize improvements in four core outcome areas (i.e., safe and stable housing, education/employment, permanent connections, and social and emotional well-being).

  • Weekly support calls with a nationally-recognized grants professional and other NSPN members to address questions or responses regarding the FOA. Weekly support calls will begin on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. EDT. Call-in information will be available on the NSPN Support Center. 
  • Unlimited individual consultation for you and your development team regarding your application.
  • Professional review of your completed draft and, when time permits, based on submission deadline, a second review upon completion of edits.
  • Consultation regarding the comments you receive post-funding announcement.
