National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month 2021

January 2021 marks the 11th anniversary of National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. One step toward achieving National Safe Place Network's (NSPN) vision of a world where all youth are safe is to help everyone increase their awareness of the vulnerabilities of all youth to sex and labor trafficking. This month, NSPN will be sharing resources that may serve as an introduction to some of you and a refresher for others. Resources will be updated throughout the month and also posted to the NSPN Facebook and Twitter pages.

Resources:

  • The National Child Traumatic Stress Network’s “Understanding and Addressing Trauma and Child Sex Trafficking” https://bit.ly/3o0weLf.
  • The National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center, the Center for Native American Youth, and CORO of Northern California’s Human Trafficking Leadership Academy (HTLA) Class 5’s study focused on human trafficking and indigenous youth https://bit.ly/3pFhSAD.
