Training of Facilitators and Trainers

Training of Facilitators and Trainers is a five-week distance learning event (five sessions – 15 hours total) that is designed to help new trainers and facilitators, as well as those looking to enhance their skills.

This training includes the following course objectives for participant learning:

• Assess the needs and expectations of an audience.
• List the conditions which create a positive climate for learning.
• Identify concepts related to adult learning principles.
• Identify skills related to facilitating group discussions and process.
• Create a training plan for site-based and distance training.
• Describe and demonstrate the skills used in various training techniques.

Upcoming Course

There will be one TOFT course in 2024. This course will start Thursday, August 1, 2024 and will be held weekly from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT through August 29, 2024.

The cost to attend the Training of Facilitators and Trainers course is:

• NSPN members: $450
• Non-members (standard fee): $550

Registration will open 60 days prior to the event start date.
